The Sleigh Trundle Bed <\/a><\/em>is perfect if you have guests coming to stay or for children’s sleepovers. The trundle bed (also known as a guest bed) incorporates a hideaway second\u00a0bed underneath the main frame. This quickly and easily pulls out on castors making it simple to accommodate your guest. When not in use the under bed trundle is neatly hidden away underneath the bed. Much more comfortable than an airbed or mattress on the floor!<\/p>\n

Sleigh Trundle Bed Features<\/h3>\n

The bed\u00a0features a traditional sleigh style headboard and footboard. These\u00a0are hand carved with panel detail. The panel detail continues along the side of the bed. The headboard and footboard\u00a0are the same height meaning the bed can be dressed with cushions to make it look like a sofa when not in use.<\/p>\n

Mattress<\/h3>\n

We recommend Moonraker’s Oxted mattress <\/a><\/em>for the trundle section of this bed. The Oxted mattress has a shallow 7″ frame spring system so it fits perfectly into the trundle section. Standard mattresses tend to be 9″ to 10″ deep which can make it a little difficult to manoeuvre the trundle in and out. The top part of the bed can take a standard depth mattress. Both bed sections have wooden slats to support the mattresses.<\/p>\n

Please bear in mind when purchasing this bed that it arrives in 5 sections; headboard, footboard, trundle, sides and slats. The\u00a0trundle is the largest section and does comes in one piece. It is therefore important to check your access.<\/p>\n
